Recently some real characters have taken up residence around the first bend of our road. They love the darkness of night but today I managed to catch some photos of them in the daylight.
This character was the first to arrive in the old barn. He looks a bit malnourished to me.
This one swooped in and likes to hang around in the shadows.
These folks started gathering and look like friendly sort.
This seems to be the family pet and reminds me of some of the tarantulas we saw in Arizona. I hope he didn't bring along any relatives.
Every family has their "black sheep" and I think I found theirs. He just stands around, staring at the passing cars.
The whole barnyard has been taken over now. At night lights flash and strange noises echo through the hills.
One of the cuter members of this clan, he sure let out a howl when I passed by without taking his picture. See how nicely he smiled for the camera?
One of the twin gatekeepers. Nobody gets past him ---- twice!
Many thanks to Mary and her family for providing this Halloween display for all of us here on the ridge to enjoy.
Happy Halloween!
